It's been a little over a month since I attended The School of Styling. Images from the workshop flooded my inbox last week and all I've been able to do is stare at them trying to re-live it. First of all, I want to give a HUGE thank you to Kaitlyn Holland who is the mastermind behind this life-giving "conference." And I put conference in quotations because it's so much more than that. Hands-on workshops leave you with tangible skills to take away, but the real investment is in the relationships created. With no more than twenty attendees you have the chance to really connect with like-minded ladies who just GET. IT. As a solo-preneur there are far more times my dog has to listen to me bounce ideas around than an actual human, let alone someone who is going through similar things. So I apologize to everyone I forced a therapy session on while we were there, but also it was much needed, so thank you... I'm sure y'all are ready to dive into seeing TSOS and all of it's beauty so I won't hold you hostage here any longer.
BUT FIRST! Please check out all of the amaaaaaaazing vendors who gave so much to us throughout the week. Serious thank to everyone below for their contributions to day one:
Workshop: The School of Styling, Workshop Photography: Ally & Bobby Photography, Speaker: Perry Vaile, Speaker: Creme Brands, Venue: One Eleven East, Florals: Bristol Lane, Furniture Rentals: Roost & Co., Linens: La Tavola Fine Linen, Paper Details: Sage Paper Co., Ribbon: Adorn Company, Stamps: Verde Studio, Catering: Royal Fig Catering, Coffee Truck: Lucky Lab Coffee Co., Cocktails: She Plus Him Bartending
So I first have to set the scene for y'all. This was were we got to meet for three whole days. If my learning environments looked like this throughout my education, I would have my doctorates by now.
Day one's speakers consisted of Kaitlyn of The School of Styling, Perry of Perry Vaile Photography, and Kathryn of Creme Brands. All of which are boss ladies who I could listen to all day. To top it off, and because Kaitlyn is one of the most thoughtful humans, we had a surprise coffee truck for an afternoon break. Lucky Lab Coffee, you have something with that Pear Vanilla Sage Latte.
For our last class of the day, Kaitlyn led us in a hands-on flat-lay styling with gorgeous paper goods supplied by Sage Paper Co. accompanied by Adorn Company ribbon and Verde Studio stamps.
To cap off the night She Plus Him Bartending served us the most delicious Prickly Pear Margaritas while Kaitlyn conducted us through a round of "speed dating." And as a goodnight gift, had Pretty Plum Sugar sleep masks and Cosmedicine tinted moisturizers set out for us!
That's it for Day One! Come back tomorrow to see Day Two and our field trip out to Magnolia Market! Spoiler: we didn't get meet Joanna..
